Personal Training FAQs

Who should hire a personal trainer?

Personal training is the best option for:

  • perfecting your form and technique

  • breaking past any plateaus you’re facing

  • improving mobility and flexibility

  • training plans specific to your goals

Personal training is also great if you:

  • prefer to train in a 1-on-1 setting

  • are new to fitness and exercise

  • have a busy schedule

What is personal training?

At Gimme CrossFit, we strongly believe that everyone should be coached on a individual basis. Personal trainers are the fastest way to help you reach your goals through 1-on-1 instruction.

Your coach will review your goals with you to help craft the best plan of attack to help you reach them. We’ll also take you through specific screens to help identify the areas that, with a little added work, you can benefit the most from.

How long does it take to get in shape?

It depends on couple of different factors:

  • what are your fitness goals?

  • where are you starting from?

  • how much time are you able to commit?

For example, when you’re getting started, your body may not be ready for more than 1-2 workouts per week. Even though it might seem faster to bump that number up to 5-6, doing so may cause you to burn out and fall of the wagon completely.

Weight loss results tend to come easier once you’ve developed a strong foundation of muscular strength and cardiovascular endurance. Spending time to get stronger in those two areas will help you greatly speed up your weight loss progress and make it a lot easier to maintain the goal that you’re shooting for.

We see health and fitness as long term goals, so our focus is on helping you develop the habits and behaviors required for long term success.

These are some of the important things that you’ll review with your coach prior to getting started with your first workout.

How soon will I start seeing results?

Changes in your mind and body will start to take place anywhere between 2-8 weeks from when you begin.

Some of these changes include:

  • feeling tighter and stronger muscles

  • fitting into your clothes more comfortably

  • more energy and wakefulness throughout the day

  • an increase in confidence

The benefits of exercise isn’t limited to these, but they are some of the more common ones that our clients experience early on.

How often should you meet with your personal trainer?

When our coaches take you through a goal setting session, we’ll give you the best recommendation based off of what your goals are.

This might mean 2-3 workouts per week for beginners, but up to 5 or more for athletes who are trying to push their limits.

Where are you located?

We’re conveniently located on Arrow Hwy in San Dimas. It’s the same plaza as the Red Robbins and Rockin’ Jump Trampoline Park.
